English for Medical Emergency
- Università Bocconi requested an English language distance learning course to enable students to write academic publications, articles or short essays.
- Expected linguistic level was B2 and case histories dealt with medical subjects.
- Further goal of the course was to prepare students for public speaking, workshops and conferences.
“English for Medical Emergency” is a distance learning course, developed for the Università Bocconi students, combining medical emergency knowledge – thanks to actual case studies – and English language skills related to this matter.
A crucial element of the training was stressing linguistic and grammatical aspects and differences that could have an impact on anamnesises.
Each lesson has different videos with actual case studies, exercises and research material.
Contents were created by dr. Gianluca Ghiselli, a medical emergency expert, who then was director of the Emergency department at Ospedale di Asti.
In every module a native English teacher comments on grammar topics of the lesson.
Extra content, Speaking Lab and Exercises sections integrate the course with high quality contents and tests.
